Vagabonds Sanctuarium
...the Holy Grail of Basic Camping...
...or simply a wilderness Theme Park and Camper Camp, decent enough to offer;
boats, firewood, beaches, internal trekking trails, treasure hunt, and another bloody museum...
Ehm, maybe not THAT basic... after all
Exposed to the spectacle of the Northern Trail, you may want to slip into a more comforting scenery like
'VAGABONDS SANCTUARIUM of GREATER OLDERNÆS'
Vagabond - the eternal traveller, explorer and seeker of sanctuary...
Sanctuarium - the place of rest, refuge and (super)natural events...
A secluded piece of soft wilderness in (sort of american) National Park Style. Drive your car in, and pick yourself a lazy lakeside CAMPSPOT for the night (No Reservation). Choose between campspots in walking distance to showers and wc's by OLDERNÆS GÅRD. Or choose more distant, spectacular spots of simpler services and compost toilets like DEADWOOD BEACH Basic Camp ...Or choose between a diversity of rental CABINS in the Rich Old Bearhunters Mould, -all of wich will supply new energy of wild contemplative nature.
Acquiring the 'VAGABONDS DAYPASS to OLDERNES' includes access to all our basic nessesities for jolly living and some quite exclusive privileges;
Rustic, authentic, independent, -carefully maintained by the Ona-Hauffen family. And; Wir Sprechen Deutsch! (Norwegian too, actually. We are just too lazy to keep several language sides going, when its so much fun outside)
This is Vagabonds Sanctuarium and subdivisions
UPS! The Transdimensional Rich Old Bearhunter wants to point out;
'-After such a cheeky POMPOUS introduction, you might be better off LOWERING your EXPECTATIONS. -So that you may get SURPRISED! (either way)'
UPS! The Transdimensional Rich Old Bearhunter points out again;
'-It is WISE to LOWER your EXPECTATIONS!'

UPS! The Transdimensional Rich Old Bearhunter points out again and again;
'-LOWER your EXPECTATIONS! Or it might HURT!'
The contemporary owners replies: -Oh shut up old man! We know we are not perfect. But we are improving year by year. We may still lack proper electricity and kitchen for campers, among things. And a few campspots are still under construction. But the overall services are running quite well. We can not guarantee sun-tan or total insect relief, but this place is settled for nature lovers and we are sure they are properly prepared for total enjoyment under the prevailing soft artic conditions. And if not: -We are here to help!
Beeing inhabited by hunters and fishermen since viking ages, Oldernæs was acquired in 1912 by the german hunter, outdoor pioneer, author and magnat OTTO SCHULZ (1857-1935) and used as his summer residence. -His perfect base camp for exploration of the vast Snåsa wilderness, as he mostly did by foot. Exhausted and satisfied he chilled out on his own 10 kilometers of Oldernæs shoreline, seeking a catch on this rich angling spot. A place where time is slowly counted in trout wakes, -where the moose cries against the sunset and the mosquito reminds you that you are not dreaming...
